What is the Gideon franchise process?

Contact us.Apply for a franchise.
1.Complete Online Application

First complete our online application (no sensitive data required).  After we receive your application and approve it for consideration, we will send you a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and be in contact to schedule a Discovery Day.

The Discovery Day consists of visiting two centers in action in the Dallas, TX area, a Q & A lunch, and a quick review of our FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document).  Next we’ll schedule a proficiency testing at a convenient location to your home or at our corporate office in Addison, TX.  After you pass our proficiency testing, a background and credit check will be conducted, and we’ll consider your application for approval to move forward.

2. Visit Centers and Review FDD
3. Begin Training Process

If approved for a Franchise, we will extend the offer for you to sign a Franchise Agreement.  The then-current franchise fee and training fee are due at the time of signing.

After signing the Franchise Agreement, you can start working with a commercial broker to find the perfect space for your center and begin training.  However, we require the home and online sections of training to be completed before giving approval to sign a lease.

After signing the Franchise Agreement, you can start the Gideon training process any time.  Part one of the training process includes a home study and online modules of our curriculum where you become the student and familiarize yourself with the design and order of the program.  Once part one of training is satisfactorily completed, you will be free to sign a lease at an approved location.

Next, we will schedule the second part of the training which is four days in Dallas, TX. Mornings are spent at our corporate office learning operations in further detail while afternoons are hands-on training with students at our Coppell, TX center.

4.Sign Franchise Agreement
5.Plan Your Grand Opening

As your center gets closer to opening, we will schedule the final on-site four-day refresher training, which will not only review previous themes but will also introduce several center operations that require more detail.

Once your center is physically ready, it is time to hire staff, begin marketing, and plan a soft opening date.  This gives you a way to ease into operations before the grand opening.

A month or so after your soft opening, you will plan the grand opening celebration.  Along with food and games, many centers include a bounce house and prize drawings.  Marketing will be designed to draw attention to this event.  Corporate representatives will be on site this day to help with new sign-ups and keep the event running smoothly.

Let's get started.
